Influenster Beauty Blogger VoxBox 2012

Lots to be thankful for this Thanksgiving and I hope all of you out there are getting ready to gobble up some great turkey dinners like I am. :) One of the many things that I'm thankful for this year is another awesome Influenster VoxBox. This time around the folks at Influenster put together a bunch of beauty goodies that I'm just absolutely loving!

NYC New York Color IndividualEyes Custom Compact in Dark Shadows (love the inclusion of the primer/base and highlighter, colors are great, very pigmented and blendable... bummed I accidentally deleted my demo/tutorial before I could upload it on YouTube :(

Not Your Mother's Kinky Moves Curl Defining Hair Cream (great product! really brings out my curls/natural waves  and the scent is AMAZING!!!)

Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin (sister swears by these and she's a stylist so she should know what she's talking about, right ;)

Vitabath Fragrance Mist in Apple and White Lilly (great scent!)

EBoost Energy/Immunity Drink Mix in Orange (reminds me of EmergenC powders... this would probably be my least favorite in the whole box but an ok little add in)

Just another day at the beach...

Hiya folks! Just wanted to share my awesome day with you guys. So after work on Thursday my sister and I decided to get out and enjoy the sun (one of the many perks of living in San Diego). So we packed our bags and headed to Torrey Pines State Beach where we decided to hike the beach trail before enjoying the water. Here are a few shots from that:

The trail ends up... well... on the beach.... lol... and as we were heading back to the car to get the boogie boards and switch out our sneakers for flip flops we spotted this little guy...

So cute right... haha... anyway, the waves were awesome and after the day of activities we continued on the healthy kick and opted for a lean dinner of basil pesto tilapia over sauteed bok choy and brown rice... yummmm...

One of my new favorite dishes and so easy and affordable too! Last but not least, I added a shell to the collection I started since finding out about the trails at Torrey Pines. Every hike I go on, I always pick up either a rock or shell to add to my bottle.

Not as many as I would like in there but gimme time... lol... Hope you all are having a great day!

Seeing Purple... :)

Hiya folks! Just wanted to share the new contacts I purchased from LensVillage.com. They were on sale during the last week of June and I just couldn't pass 'em up. All together with shipping and handling my total came to $16.70 which I thought was a great deal on PERSCRIPTION colored contacts. The pair I got were the Princess Nudy Violet lenses and I'm really liking them. It took a little bit for my eyes to get used to them and they were kinda moving all over the place at first but give or take a few mins and they were good to go. Over-all I'm pleased with this purchase and will most likely buy from them again. I really wanna get some grey ones next. :) Thanks for reading... until next time... xoxo - alithea - xoxo

Plus Size Fashion Haul

Hiya folks.... Just wanted to share the goodies I've gotten the last couple days... First off an outfit that is quickly becoming one of my favorites... it's a peasant type blouse that's sheer, flowy, and very comfortable matched up with some white skinny jeans. Both items were purchased at JCPenney (the top was only $8 and the jeans were only $12!!! not pictured, but also picked up a pair of reg blue skinny jeans as well... couldn't beat that $12 price). Also purchased from JCPenney were the brown platform sandals for only $14. Another great deal! The newest purchase was the brown messenger bag that I actually just picked up today at Ross for $17.99.

Along with the bag another purchase from Ross today were these awesome Sbicca wedges also only $17.99... how cute are these shoes! Can't wait to work and outfit around them... stay tuned for what I come up with :)

Next up are some adorable summer tops with crochet detailing on the back and the best part... wait for it.... THEY WERE ONLY $2 EACH!!! Again, from JCPenney. It's been years since I've been to this store but I must admit they have stepped up their game as far as stylish plus sized options and pricing.  While there I picked up a few shades as well... at only $7 a pop... not too shabby... :)

Influenster Summer Beauty VoxBox 2012

Hiya folks... so here goes my second post on this blog... please excuse my absence but rest assured I will most definitely try my best to keep this updated from now on. So I signed up for Influenster a few months ago and finally received my very first VoxBox. Yippee!!! Who doesn't love getting free stuff!?! Anyway, if you haven't heard of  Influenster just click on the link to go their page and check them out. It's pretty much a free service that mails out various products for people to try and give their honest opinions/reviews on. Awesome, right! So my summer 2012 VoxBox includes:
